Top Doggie tips for Summer

Give your dog plenty of fresh water and a shady area to sit in.

Avoid prolonged exposure to hot pavements as their paws can easily get scorched and burnt.

Don’t leave your dog alone in a hot car for even a minute!

Avoid strenuous exercise and long walks when the temperature rises.  Try a gentle early morning or late evening stroll. If in doubt, don’t take them out.

Make sure you regularly check your dogs for ticks and fleas as they are most active in the warmer months

Make sure your dog is wearing their identification tag. Dogs ‘play out’ more in the garden when the weather is warmer.
