Long autumn walks with your dog

We all love a long walk in the Autumn with our dogs.  We pack our rucksacks with food, water, phone, spare socks, camera and other goodies but how much thought do we give our dogs on that long walk?

Fresh water.

There may be streams and puddles for your dogs to drink from but can you tell its safe water? Always take a container of water for your dog.

Your dog needs and energy boost as much as you do. A little bag od tasty treats will keep your dog happy until you get home

Collars and leads

Always check collars and leads for signs of wear and tear. You don’t want a broken collar halfway through your walk!

Check the trail conditions before you set off

Heavy rain and muddy paths can make it hard going for your pooch.  Icy patches and rough sharp stones can lead to cut and sore paws.

Have Regular Rest Stops

Both you and your pooch will benefit from a pause now and again.

Tell a friend your plans

Make a plan and stick to it.

Have fun with your pooch, build the bond between you and your pal and most of all, have fun!
